Large Italian floor lamp, circa 1990’s by Marco Agnoli for Pieroantonio Bonacina in cane and wood.
This cane floor lamp stands out for its sculptural silhouette and natural elegance. Its monumental, slightly flared lampshade forms an elongated corolla that tapers towards the base, creating a subtle contrast with the turned solid wood base.
A trained architect who graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1985, Marco Agnoli has developed a cross-disciplinary approach to furniture design, working with materials such as cane, wood and aluminium.
In his designs for Pierantonio Bonacina, his work is characterised by a desire to transform woven materials into genuine elements of interior architecture. He uses cane to create bold forms, sculptural silhouettes and structures that play on lightness, texture and transparency.
